Prosperous Beach Handball Opening Ceremony

PROSPEROUS BEACH HANDBALL OPENING CEREMONY IN TORROX COSTA

 

 

 

The Opening Ceremony of Beach Volleyball took place on 20th September in "Zona deportiva Ferrara" in Torrox (Malaga). The Ceremony was attended by Mr. Óscar Medina (Mayor of Torrox) and Mr. Francisco Murillo (Vice-rector for Students and sports of the University of Málaga), who welcomed all participants.

 

 

EUSA Executive Committee representative and Ms. Ivana Ertlova (EUSA SCAC Chair for Beach Handball) welcomed all participants and wished all the teams and participants who came to test their skills and abilities well ahead of the start of the competition, while also thanking the Organising Committee for all their contributions.

 

 

                                                    

Once the EUC was declared open, all people attending to the Opening Ceremony had the opportunity to enjoy a cultural performances by "Grupo Raíces"

 

     

 

The competition is organised by the University of Malaga with the contribution of Consejo Superior de Deportes (National Sports Council), Diputación Provincial de Málaga (Provincial Council of Malaga), Junta de Andalucía (Andalusian Government), Rincón de la Victoria's Town Hall and Torrox's Town Hall.

 

The University of Malaga has a vaste experience organizing international events such as the 13ᵗʰ World University Golf Championship 2010, the 8ᵗʰ European Universities Beach-Volleyball Championship 2011, the 9ᵗʰ European Universities Futsal championship 2013, the 14ᵗʰ World University Futsal Championship 2014, the 23ᵗʰ World University Handball Championship 2016, the 9ᵗʰ European Universities Handball Championship 2017 and the 6ᵗʰ European Universities Golf Championship 2019.

  

Championship will take place from 21th to 23th September in Torrox.

 

EUSA is represented by Mr. Miha Zvan (EUSA Sports Manager), Ms. Ivana Ertlova (EUSA SCAC CHAIR Beach Handball), the Technical Delegate, Ms. Jelena Eric, Mr. Marco Trespidi (EUSA Technical Delegate assistant), and Eszter Gulyas (EUSA Representative)

 

The Competition will host 10 male teams and 9 female teams from as many as 14 universities from 11 countries.
