THE UNIVERSITY OF MALAGA WILL RECEIVE 25 YOUNG PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER EUROPE TO VOLUNTEER DURING THE EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES BEACH SPORTS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2023
The approved Erasmus + international volunteering project will allow a total of 25 young people living in EU countries, aged between 18 and 30, to volunteer for a period of 30 days during the Championships.
The Intercambia Youth Association, at the request of the University of Malaga, presented a project to the Spanish National Agency for Volunteering, which was approved a few days ago. The project will be an invaluable support to the organization of the First European Beach Sports Championships, organized by the University of Malaga, that will be held in Malaga in September 2023 .
The approved programme covers the volunteer's travel, living and transport costs, making it a great attraction for young people from all over Europe.
In addition to supporting the tasks involved in the organisation of the Championship, the volunteers will promote environmental values and health improvement through the practice of beach sports activities in schools in the province of Malaga.
The Intercambia Youth Association, responsible for the actions of volunteering in the development of the championships, will be responsible for the selection process and management of the grants for this project, and will open the selection process in the month of April.
Numerous public and private entities will participate in this great international sports event in addition to the University of Malaga, such as the Provincial Council of Malaga, the Town Councils of Rincón de la Victoria and Torrox, the Andalusian Regional Government, the Superior Sports Council and other public and private entities.
